Would it be haram to sell indecent clothing?

lets say if someone opens up a clothing store....would it be haram for him to sell revealing outfits? (think alcohol...pork.....lotto)

no not @ all. u could sell me a belly dancing outfit, it's up to me to do the right thing and wear it only for my husband. the things ur thinking of this yea these things are haraam to us and to handle. but clothing is fine.

I would think not… because there is no such thing as not decent clothing… all clothing is decent if worn in the right place and in front of the right person…

However, there are not decent people who wear those clothes in public places or in front of the wrong people.

So the shop owner can only assume the best and assume that the woman buying this garment is going to wear it in front of her husband (for example)… and he has no right to ask…

Yes, Itifaq of the Ulama it will be coz whom ever will buy 4m ur shop & then expose them selves wearing it u will be a way to thier sin. & the ulama also say that this kind of earining is also haram.

In Syria vendors sell lacy undies on the street. It's not haram to buy s**y outfits as long as you just wear them in front of your spouse. You'd be surprised what women wear underneath those robes.
