Would it be illegal for me to get an ebay account even though I'm only 17?

just wondering. i buy things all the time using my sisters account. i have all her information and junk and when i buy something i just have to let her know about it and then pay her back.

it would be so much easier just to have my own account. but the thing says "confirm you are at least 18 years of age, etc.".

I have my own checking and savings accounts, so can I do it anyway or do I have to wait.

oh and forgot to mention that i have a debit card (Visa).

You really need to wait. using a debit card is not a  wise thing to do on line. If your sister is working with you try to keep it this way until you can get your own account when your older.

And yes it is illegal for you to have that account with ebay now.

I think you need a bank account AND a CREDIT card (not debit card), and you have to be 18 to get a credit card
