Would it be illegal to hack my lg voyager and put windows mobile on it?

If I downloaded the upgrade for windows mobile,and put it on my lg voyager,would that be illegal

The LG Voyager is not a Windows Mobile Smartphone. You can't just download Windows Mobile and install it onto a cell phone. The Windows Mobile OS comes built into ROM on Windows Mobile devices.

no u own it ,its yours ex. if i bought a car i could paint it any color i want right?? but i think if it gets bricked bcuz of the Program u put it in it then your warranty wouldnt cover it

It might void the warranty for your software, but other than that, you should be alright.

If Windows mobile is legit then you can do what ever you want. You own it.

It most likely voids the warranty, also it MAY break the terms of service with your cell phone provider, most terms of service contracts are very strict. I suggest getting a copy of the terms of service before attempting to hack it.
