Would it be ok if I gave my 26 month old niece a lollipop?

First of all, I'm sorry but I hate it when people refer to there kids in months. Just day 2yr old or 2 1/2yr old. My daughter is 36mo. That would be 3. I would go ahead and give it to her, but just watch her carfully with it and make her sit down. If she's walking around then she could choke. She's not exactly a baby anymore, she should be able to eat a lollipop.

If her parents allow it yes...but then YOU get to be responsible for watching over her until the lollipop is gone.

I think its okay if her parents are okay with it. I would be pissed if someone gave my kid candy without asking. Maybe not so much now, but especially when I was against it.

Its okay to give them a lollipop. You don't have to watch them eat the whole thing. They know what to do.

However, I'd check on them. Make sure they're not trying to shove it down their throat - but especially things we don't think of - ha ha - like putting it under the couch, in the toilet (and sometimes in their mouth again), or getting it in their hair.

When you give it to her, I'd let her know some rules. Basically, "it goes in your mouth, and if you don't want it anymore, you give it to me or put it on this napkin".

Depends really on where you are - you could mean a sucker or a Popsicle. If it's an Popsicle (ice lolly), I can't see any reason why not, but a hard boiled sugar type lolly might not be a good idea, I don't think we gave them to Dylan until he was four-ish.

No. Some babies of that age can cope and some can't...they all vary...my neice could manage them ast that age but my daughter couldnt and they're REALLY sugary.
