  1. big catfish eat guppies soo anyway you seperated the guppies then its okay

  2. That should be ok. As long as none of your other fish are larger than the betta, as they can become threatened, betta's liked to be homed with smaller fish.

Some catfish don't bother the fish as they spend most of their time foraging the in the gravel for food, but some are territorial and attack other fish.

Your tank should have lots of swimming room and live plants.

    hope this helps

  3. Make sure it's a big tank. I put a male betta in with several guppies and several tetras in a 30 gallon tank and it was fine. I'm not sure about the platys though. They are a little bigger and might make the betta feel threatened.

The catfish won't bother the betta either, since it will just sit on the ground and clean. :)

    Hope this helps!

  4. yes its ok as long as you have a big enough tank

  5. Possibly, but when i had a beta and a catfish together after a while the catfish grew large enough and ate the betta

  6. yes it is but make sure you have extra tanks because if there is a male and female guppy or platy, they will reproduce!FAST!

  7. Well, you need more tetras for them to be happy, at least 3 platys if you are getting male and female. 1 male for every 2 females is a good ratio so the females get a break from the males constantly chasing them wanting to mate! No male guppies, the betta will see the long flowing colorful fins and attack it. Depends on the type of catfish. Cory cats are schools also. Depending on your tank size a school of cories, or oto cats would work. If you just want 1 catfish, and if you have at least a 20 gallon tank, a bristle nose pleco would work. But you need to research each species b4 buying them! I never knew kuhli loaches where schoolers until I did some research. Then I felt really bad b/c the fish store never told me they where schoolers! Then I went out and bought more kuhlis to be the buddy for the kuhli I have now! But, research research research! And don't listen to the ppl who have never done research and think Betta's kill everything!!

  8. yes but only if your tank is not 10-gal
