  1. Good idea work on getting your back strong especcially your Lats do heavy deadlifts look at boxers lats when they throw punches its all back, hips and legs not in that order

  2. if your not boxing as an amateur or pro, and doing it just for fitness, it doesnt matter, but if you think you will ever decide to box seriously, you shouldn't lift weights to bulk up, weight lifting makes your muscles get unnaturally big, which reduces the flexibility in your body, flexibility is beneficial  to boxing, and weight wont increase the power of your punch very much, only very light weight lifting is used in boxing, boxing trainers know all that stuff, overtraining depends on what kind of shape your in and what your doing in that 1 hr class, but excercise 6 days a week  can wear down your body over a long period of time, so make sure to take a couple weeks off every 6 six weeks or so

  3. not at all! Exert yourself weight lifting takes off stress and fighting may put it on so your good to go.

  4. It worked for Tyson and Holyfield.

  5. it can be. for more on fitness and nutrition go to crossfit.com

also how old are you? If you are of the high school age then I would suggest to weight till you are older. Weight lifting won't be fully beneficial and even could be damaging until you reach at least 18-19 years old. if you are already that age then it can be great as long as you don't do it too much. remember there are lots of exercises you can do without weights. for example I just did tonight... 5 body rows, 10 push-ups, and 15 sit-ups. you do this as many times as you can in 20 minutes. I got up to 8 in 19:30

Most importantly just get to the boxing gym and train there.
