The wall will not be touched by rain water but would be open to the change in Temp (changing of the seasons) If this is not a good idea what would you recommend?

The area is a 3 wall seated area with a roof.

  1. render and pebble dash , or render only , or render and Tyrolean finish ( render with sand and cement ) , clad with timber or plastic cladding , paint with masonry paint , I suspect plaster would perish if air borne moisture can reach the wall . Dont forget the inside of the wall needs to breath too so bear that in mind ,  moisture can reach the wall as airborne moisture and condense onto the wall .

  2. Do you mean stucco?  Plaster isn't waterproof.

  3. get someone in to render it, its a skilled job and most likely failures in bonding if you do it yerself.

  4. The plaster would be effected by the humidity. A better be would be to use a stucco product. It should give you the same effect without worry about being outdoors.

  5. Put a bonding agent on first and plaster away.
