  1. What's a GSA and what does it have to do with homeschooling?

Gotcha.  No clue...being as it's a private school, you'd be bound by the school rules.  I'd say check with your administrators, it's up to them.

  2. If you want to actually hold meetings or something on school property/during the school day then you obviously need to have the school's permission so you should probably be discussing this with your school principal.

I reckon if you plan to keep all mention of the GSA *entirely* outside of school then I can't see any reason why you can't simply go ahead. Of course, if you plan to advertise the group or talk about it in any way in school, you should prolly let the school principal know for the sake of good manners *before* he/she finds out about it from the school notice board or an irate parent who objects to homosexuality being paraded in the school environment or something.

You'd probably also have to consider the school's values and ethics (obviously you'll have a virtually impossible time if this is a Catholic school or is in any way affiliated to the Catholic Church!!). You'd prolly also need to consider the ages  of the students who go to the school - I'm guessing that parents and teachers'll have much bigger problems with the idea and grounds for objecting if 13 year olds may become aware of such a group than if you can confine it to 18 year olds!

Also don't know where you live but obviously the more easily homosexuality is accepted by the wider community and society, the easier you'll likely find it accepted in school. I can't imagine many (if any) school principal's agreeing here for fear of getting their school burnt down!
