Would it be possible to become a professional rider. I have always wanted to become a pro showjumper but didn't have enough money to have riding lessons. A year and a half ago i got a part time job (im 15) and i have been having lessons ever since. Yesterday i went to the british open showjumping championships and all of the riders started riding at a very young age. I think the latest one was 9. Do you thinki could still do it when i started riding at 14?

  1. Yeah, of course! There are no limits on becoming a proffesional and going for your dreams.

  2. Defiantly!!! Go for it!!!!!!

                      GOOD LUCK!!!! :-)

  3. yeah you could. it might tske you a little longer to work you way up to the top though.

  5. I can really sympathise, I started riding at 15! I wished to do exactly as you want, however all the riders were so rich and young! I am still very envious.

I have now decided just to concentrate on the bond I form with the horses I know, and how well I can work and train them. I gave up on my dream after realising how many sponsers they have, how long they are ALLOWED to ride every day ( as opposed to us who can ride two hours a week, but would ride all day! ) and how much money their RICH parents supply them with.

I'm sure you have the talent and determination, if you find the money tell me how!!

    Good Luck, hope you succeed.

  6. There is no age required man!!!

Have go at it, and u may do well than everyone, concentrate on ur game and watch alot riders.

May god make u a pro showjumper,

  7. You are great to go for your dream! That is exactly what I want to be, but I don't exactly come from a rich family. I work for lessons and I'm training a green horse, which may be my road to success. NEVER give up on this dream you have because there is no set age. With a little work, you could beat someone who has been riding since they were 2! Just plpease keep trying, because you'll get there, i promise!
