Would it be possible to make a "medical marijuana" pill?

I saw on tv where that man got fired for smoking marijuana prescribed by his dr. There must be some reason they haven't put this in pill form. Do you know why they haven't?

From what I have heard the pill is not as good for people who are sick and can't keep it down. That is why they smoke marijuana.  Unfortunately most people smoking medical marijuana get a feel good doctor to prescribe it for anything from a hang nail to dandruff.  They make a joke of the whole thing and make it a problem for people who really need it.

There are federal  laws and state laws that conflict on marijuana.  The pill is only good for some people that regular medications don't work for.  The thing is anyone can grow it, so why should drug companies waste money on it and take a chance ticking off the government .

It is in pill form.  (I once worked in a residential drug facility operated by doctors.)

Think a marijuana pill. Everyone would have better access to it. And it could get mixed up with other pills. I think it's better leaving it in it's current form. Hope this helped :)

There already is one, it is called "Marinol" and can be prescribed by an MD.  Most people believe that it is not as effective as smoking the actual herb.

There may also be generics, they would be labelled "THC" pills after the active ingredient in marijuana.

I have seen" medical marijuana" as a security guard, but it was powder!

Of course, but you miss the point, people want marijuana to get high, they are just using the medical excuse to justify legally possessing it.

they are better pills for the medical necessities.

There is a pill it's called Marinol. It has the same benifets of marijuana without the THC, so you don't get high.

There were THC pills back in the 60's so sure.

  Problem is it is a narcotic so did he get fired for exposing others to the smoke or for using a narcotic?

It should have been legalized 40 years ago.

Just handle it with the same laws used for alcohol consumption and I don't see any problem.
