Would it be possible to run tv speakers through surruond system?

i have a jvc 42 inch big screen and i was wondering if i could operate the tv through surround system all the time even satelite not just with movies? what would i have to do or buy if its possible.

  1. yes, if your tv has an audio output. it should be either a digital opital , or red-white rca cable. You will need to buy the corresponding cable and plug it into a audio input on your surround system.


  2. yes you can,just run everything through your amplifier,start with hooking your sat or cable box outputs to the inputs of video 1or sat if you have it on your amp.then run either the hdmi (if equiped)or the red ,blue,green cable from the amp to the tv.you can also run the red/white and yellow to your tv.

  3. yes, you can run tv sound through your surround system. i'm assuming your tv is relatively new, so you shouldn't have to buy anything, it should be in the set up menu, otherwise  try using an ethernet cable. that's what i did and it worked for me.
