I know it has been cancelled for U.S. military use because the plastic would melt after firing too many bullets from the chamber, but would it still be possible to use/ be assigned an XM8 if you were part of the U.S. army?

  1. yes very possible /you need to have been an infantry men [and be at least

a Sargent .and your M.O.S. would have to be weapons specialist (or

a gunnery Sargent in the U.S. ARMY GREEN BERETS.

WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO SHOOT AN XM8 ITS BARREL IS TO SCREECHY , AND THE GUN IS UN-ACCURATE /JUST STICK WITH ARMY WEAPONS /IF YOU WANT TO USE SLICK WEAPONS LIKE XM8 I SUGGEST YOU GO IN THE SEALS.

    4 YEAR ARMY  11C,/AND BRIDGE CREW MEMBER/

AND PRESENT ARMY NATIONAL GUARD INFANTRYMEN.

  2. Maybe if you were a member of Delta. Then again, you probably would have already found something a lot better and more reliable. As for regular Army, if it ain't allowed, you ain't gonna get it.
