Not at all, some people actually welcome the chance to socialize their dog, or have someone else tiring him out for a while :)

I don't think so, but some people like to act funny most times. Pets are TOO cute! I know I miss my kitten that I had to leave behind during Hurricane Katrina. =(

Not at all; I visited a gun store several times a week to play with their English Bulldog, Bullet. He had a treat dispenser like a gumball machine and when he pulled on the bone, his treats would come out. When a customer tied to hand cash to the owner, Bullet would snatch the cash and run around the store with it. He was a great dog, I just loved him.

I have 4 dogs which I sometimes find quite demanding. Wanting to play all the time and be taken for walks and sometime especially after work I'm really not in the mood. so if someone was to want to do that for me I'd be happy because its important to me that their needs get met.

So in answer to your question I don't think its rude, its actually a blessing!!

Not if they don't notice that you're only going to see the pet. You might actually help out and "pet sit" for them while they're able to get things done around the house.

Yes. Some pets don't like strangers and some pet owners don't like people coming to their house too often. Don't do it.

Ask them if they'd mind!  I have lots of kids come and ask to play with my dog.  It's not rude at all, but it does get somewhat annoying at times.  To make sure it's not irritating, just ask them if they would mind and how often could you come play?  Maybe they could call YOU whenever it's a good time for them.  

I know I would love to have people walk my dog just because they want to.  She gets exercise and social interaction, I can continue working, and the person is not invading my space, hanging out in my living room.

Best advice, just ask!
