Would it be safe to drive through an F0 and F1 tornado?

Their wind speeds have category 1 winds or less. Cat.1 isn't that strong especially if you're in a car. I've always wanted to see what's inside a tornado. How do you determine the category of a tornado by looking at it before driving through it?

  1. If you spot a tornado in the distance go to the nearest solid shelter.

If the tornado is close, get out of your car and take cover in a low-lying area, such as a ditch. Get as close to the ground as possible, protect your head and watch for flying debris. Do not chase tornadoes – they are  unpredictable and can change course abruptly.

A tornado is deceptive. It may appear to be standing still but is, in fact, moving toward you.

  2. It maybe ok to drive through an F0 because the winds of an F0 are only like 40-72 mph. I think it takes winds of like 80-100 mph to flip over vehicles. I wouldn't try an F1 tho because the winds are like 73-112 mph. But that's the problem, you probably can't tell the exact strength of a tornado, even if it does appear to be tiny. So overall, i would avoid driving through any tornado because you don't know the exact strength.

  3. No.
