Would it be safe to mix 12mg of valium with a 54mg of alza?

I just took 12mg of valium about an hour ago. I was wondering if taking 54mg of alza would be safe or not. If you have done something like it please comment.

Well you just mixed a medication that makes most adults hyperactive, anxious, basically speed with a medication that makes most people mellow out or at the dose you took, probably sleep. They will probably counteract each other. There is no way to tell you how it is going to make you feel. All medicines make people feel different the alza sometimes makes some people sleepy instead of speed. I know that the alza is used for children with ADD but it is commonly given to adults who have narcolepsy ( fall asleep suddenly for no reason) to keep them awake. Some adults use alza to lose weight. Again, there is just no way to tell how your body is going to react because you have basically confused your brain on what it is suppose to do.

Footnote: Valium comes in 2mg,5mg and 10 mg so it would be possible to take one 10mg tab with one 2 mg tab or a number of other combinations. I think the other poster has valium dosages confused with ativan dosages (0.25 mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, 2mg).

I have done exactly that, and don't do it. If your looking for recreational fun, take about 8 more mg of valium. By the way one of your answers saying what mg valium come in, was wrong. Most commonly perscribed is 2mg, 5mg, and 10mg. So your not really going to far over an average dose.

As for the alza, sounds like too much medication, you WILL winding not enjoying your self.

I wouldn't think it would be safe to mix 12 mg of valium with anything. Valium comes in .25,.5, .75 and 1.0 mg., so 12.0 would be a lot. And never a good idea to mix meds of any kind. Especially a sedetive, which valium is.
