Would it be safe to put a 6 inch red eared slider in with a 2 inch red eared slider?

  1. if you introduce them slowly this could work out quite well. i would first introduce them on land were you have control. sometimes 2 males are known to fight but that is usually over food or territory.  If they are different sexes they will most likely get along unless during feeding time.  so i would recommend in any situation to feed them seperately to eliminate any fighting over food. overall if feed seperately then they should do fine.


  2. yes..as long as you have plenty of room and food..That is a must and they will be fine..

    Sliders are great for decorating ponds or large tanks. I have had two for 36 yrs now plus a 8 yr old and a 5 yr old..

    I have had them in a 150gal pond for about 6 yrs now..

    Mine stack them selves on top each other to sun bathe..
