Hi all! I'm thinking about moving back to college for grad. school so I can get my Master's degree in hopes of increasing my salary. I've been pre-offered an IT position from a friend of mine in the high paying IT field but on the condition that I get a grad. degree in the IT field. The money he wants to offer me is over three times the amount of money I make gross-wise in one year of working all year round. His company could pay for my graduate education on a part-time basis over a 5 year period but if I go back to my alma mater, I can get it in about 16 months. I loved the whole college scene and the dorm life anyway when I was in college. I also feel like I wouldn't mind reliving those partying, wild days again either even though I'm now older. hahaha! I'm 28, single, never been married, no kids, and I'm very motivated to do this task. I'm not tied down from doing this by any means. I just have to make up my mind and if I decide to do it, I'll start in the spring of 2009 and I'll graduate in the spring of 2010. Some people say I'm crazy for thinking about it but others tell me to go for it while I'm still young. What do you you think? So, here's my question. Would it be strange for me to move back to college in a dormitory for grad. school from 29-30 years old? Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  1. I did that for a semester, it was awkward but not hard.

  2. Hey, you want to make the money, right? Go for it. s***w what any naysayer thinks. This is your life.

  3. Yes you should go! don't waste an opportunity to better yourself. I see people at my school all the time in their 30's + it is never too late to get educated and grow. When you stop growing and learning you have reached your full potential. Believe me your 30's isn't the time to stop, shoot for the stars... I wish you success in all that you do! Good Luck.

  4. It would be strange if you thought you could put up with the freshman idiocy.

  5. It wouldn't be strange at all to go back to school and continue getting your education, but if you choose to move into the dorm...you may be a lone ranger there.  A few years can make such a huge difference in that realm.

  6. will be hard
