  1. No. The King or Queen of Britain is just a figurehead and doesn't have any particular power really. To be honest, you're better off keeping an eye on who becomes Prime Minister.

Prince Harry might not be a choirboy but he's still a lot better some of his ancestors who did despicable things. Falling out of nightclubs drunk is a far lesser crime than ordering the execution of your enemies, is it not? In truth, none of us knows what the real Harry is like. All we know is the stuff that hits tabloid headlines. He could in fact be a good person with human frailties who could be a surprisingly good King.

  2. Rather have Prince William first, but actually I think Prince Harry would step up to the plate and be quite a good king.  No one thought that George VI would have made a good king (though for different reasons) but he was a very good king, especially during the war, even though he was only the Duke of York prior to Edward's abdication.

  3. In this day & age it really makes no difference who is king. They have no power.

  4. No it'd be better than Charles becoming King.  That would be the real disaster.

  5. We don't need any of them.

  6. Catherine1 is right - There won't be a monarchy by then if they go ahead with 'Queen Camilla'

  7. I'd say he's a better bet than Charles. William doesn't seem to have much personality either.

  8. no where near.

But for that to happen William would have died so that would be bad.

I mean harry would like to be King Richard the Lion heart and lead the troops on the battlefield, but that makes him a good king, just a bad politician or bureaucrat.

  9. Unlikely to ever happen but then at least he knows how to enjoy himself and has some semblance of a personality.

  10. Why would he?  He is very unlikely to ever become King because after Charles, William is heir to the throne.  So even if Charles misses out then William will come next.  Then Williams kids when he has them.

  11. Good grief no.  Harry's not perfect, but then again, no one is.  You want to see bad behavior of monarchs look at John (paranoid meglomaniac),  Edward VII (slept with every woman he could get his hands on), Henry VIII (drove the country into bankruptcy, executed a wife just so he could marry another woman), etc.
