  1. No I go by myself all the time.  I have an upper deck season ticket and go to the "standing room only" section.  There's always some rabid fans there.  You joke and cheer and talk baseball.  I've made a few good friends there.

Just go and give it a try.  You might find a friend in the same situation, then you wouldn't have to go by yourself.

  2. Not at all.  Many fans have done this for years.  I do it myself for more than 15 years now.  There is nothing that says fans have to have someone accompany them to the ballpark.  Or that they will only be allowed to enter two at a time or as couples or whatnot.  Anybody who would ever have a *problem* with it, well that is THEIR problem, not yours.  You get to see your team play by going to the game and represent yourself as a loyal fan to the Tigers.

  3. "Weird" is in the mind of the beholder.  My point is this.......you seem too concerned about what other people will think of you.  If you enjoy baseball as much as you say you do, and have no one to go with, then go alone and enjoy the game.  There is always another fan nearby who you can discuss the game with, and who is there for the same reasons as you...to watch and enjoy the game.

  4. I have done it often !!! It's a blast to just sit and take in the game, and not worry if your guests are having fun !! Alot of times watching the crowd is more fun than the game--

  5. Not weird at all.

Best experience I've had was at spring training in Tucson, went by myself and sat next to some of the retired folk who really knew the game and the history of baseball.  Even got a few free beers just for listening (learning) to them. Go and enjoy

  6. no basebal game are fun when you by your self you could buy your own stuff in everything

  7. I like to keep score when I'm at the game - much easier to do when I go alone.

You can actually watch the whole game when you are there, a lot happens that never fits into the screen, so I go as often as I can. Usually I go with family or friends, but I end up going at least once or twice a season on my own. It's different, but I still have fun.

At Comerica parking is scattered and can be expensive - the biggest benefit of going with a group of friends is splitting parking costs so that you don't have a long walk to the park.

  8. Heavens NO!!!........I personally have yet to go to any major league game, by myself-or with others, but as a fan of baseball myself, I would look at it this way:  You love the game, your team right?  Well, obviously so do all the people who also would be attending the game.  So........you won't be alone, there will be thousands of fans all around you and your team in front of you.......Does it really matter that you bought one ticket, went there by yourself, because once there I'm sure it won't even be a thought in your mind that you went by yourself!  And....just think of your independance and all the great memories and stories you'll be able to tell to those friends who don't like baseball!  So...go and have a great experience enjoying what YOU like, you'll be a part of one huge fan club that you will never go to a game 'ALONE' again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. no

by the way if you went by your self it would be cheaper

you would only have to pay for one ticket and only your food

  10. No man. Baseball in my opinion is better going with a friend or girlfriend, but it's still cool to go. You can be like me who lives in Orlando who has to travel some 2 hours to get to St. Petersburg to see the Rays. Go Rays; Joe Madden for AL Manager of the Year.
