Would it be wise to put your electronics in your carry on in a clear plastic baggie?

I was going to pull all my electronics(USB cables, voltage adaptors, camera, laptop battery, external USB) in a large clear plastic baggie but I wasn't sure if this was allowed. I will keep my laptop separate, however. I didn't want to put them in my baggage as they might get damaged/lost?

  1. I always carry on all my electronic gadgets. All those things are allowed, they may want to take them out of your bag to look at them, and sometimes they'll check if they are operatable. But the answer is yes, they're allowed. Things that aren't allowed are sharp objects, pointy objects, flamable things like lighters. You'll be ok.

  2. Yes, any liquids or lotions you may pack can be ruptured and get onto your electronics and damage them especially if you drop the bag when you are tazed by security for asking them why they are confiscating your laptop. It will also provide some protection from electrical damage if you are still holding on to the bag containing them when tazed.

  3. You are allowed if you want but you don't have too.  If you find it will be more accessible to you then go ahead.  The only thing that needs to be in a clear plastic baggie is your liquids and you are only allowed to bring containers of 100ml (3.4oz) or less up to 1L per passenger.
