Would it be wise to take a chemistry class online?

I have the option of taking the class via the internet and in the person. On rate my professor.com the teacher I would have to take in class is terrible. The online instructor is apparently REALLY good. I am not at all good w/ chemistry but these are the only two classes that will fit into my schedule.

Who has taken a chemistry or any science class for that matter over the internet? How hard was it?

  1. If you are a science major then stay away from the online class.  Missing the labs will hurt you and potential employers might be leary of it.

If you are a non science major and given your rational the I say go for the online version.  Just make sure you are disciplined enough to get the work done without a professor pushing you.

the difficulty depends greatly on how the professor made the class and how good you are at self motivation.
