I'm hiring new staff for my palace. Butlers, maids, cooks, gardeners, foot-men, stable boys etc

Do you think it wrong of me to only give jobs to g**s and lesbians?

  1. i agree with kass and im just to lazy to write all that down XD sorry

  2. YES

Are you accepting applications?  LOL  :@)

  3. would it be wrong to hire only straight staff? its discrimination either way, and you can't technically ask about someone's sexual orientation (or other irrelevent personal information) during the hiring process...it's illegal... what you could do is encourage the GTLB community members to apply.

  4. Can I apply for the naked pool boy position?

  5. Not morally no.

I suppose you as an employer has the right to choice who you would like as staff members.

The only problem is that some countries have strict employment laws. In my country for example, you can not discriminate against people on the basis of sexual orientation. Usually the discrimination takes place against g*y people, but as I recall it could easily go the other way round.

You also can not place a job advert stating that only g*y people can apply. And it is also not recommended to ask people about their orientation in a job interview.

I can not find the source, but a straight prospective employee once took a g*y employer to court, because he felt he was discriminated against due to his sexuality.

I just think you should hire the best people for the job.But if you are worried that they may be homophobic, it is your right to ask them about their feelings towards g*y people and decide on that fact.

To purely not employ them simply because they are straight could land you in hot water (only if your country has that ant-discrimination clause).

  6. Advertise in a g*y publication, where your audience is g*y readers.

State yourself as being g*y and what duties you are looking to fulfill. You can attract a g*y staff without having to come out and state you want g*y people only and get what you want by being legal at the same time.

  7. definintely wrong.

  8. If you’re only hiring g*y people and denying jobs to straight applicants who meet the job criteria, then yes that's wrong and in the state I live, it's illegal. If you're in the US, several states have laws prohibiting sexual orientation discrimination in the workplace.

I suspect your question is b/s (palace and "foot-men" gives it away) but I'm not sure how it's supposed to be funny.

  9. no it wouldn't be wrong.. as long as it's not the only thing you're basing your choice on..

example.. if you have two finalist for cooks.. one is straight and one is g*y but the straight one has more experience and more originality in his menu, would you chose the g*y one just cuz he's g*y?

that's where the mistake is i think.. when you only see someone's sexuality and let go of the other important things..

  10. I don't even know where Lichtenstein is, but it sounds kind of s**y.

Here in the UK, there are laws to prevent discrimination over sexuality for various things, but there are loads of ways around it, so in theory you could only hire those that you want

You'd possibly need a finely tuned gaydar, or some subtle way of exacting the information from the applicant, but its very possible

When I used to work in a Call Centre, the then HR manager told me during a recruitment campaign that she wanted "g*y men and asian females" for what were actually legitimate reasons, although she was resorting to stereotypes.

If you're looking for a PA, let me know

edit: well done "Cub" (below)  - great idea

  11. well actully only if you make dirty movies with them in it, or have them wear little revealing costumes and you whip them when they dont abide, i see nothing wrong with it, but thats just me you might have to take it up with juge judy mister

  12. I worked in a g*y counseling agency once and we had a staff of about 25 people.  Because it was a well-known g*y counseling agency, most of the people who applied were g*y, but we did have a few straight people on board who were totally comfortable around g*y people, so I certainly learned that being g*y in and of itself wouldn't be sufficient for a staff position.  The issue would simply be whether or not someone was qualified and good at what they did.
