i have been told that taking the baffle out of a motorcycle's exhaust gives u more power on your bike. i am just wondering if it will ruin my bike to take the baffle out of it. also, if you could give me some tips on how to take the baffle out of my bike, that would be nice, cuz i have never taken the baffle out of a dirt bike before.

  1. If you ride a 150F chances are you didn't pay for the bike. My suggestion is take it out and if you blow the motor (obviously because a freeflowing exhaust without bigger jets and a needle position adjustment would do that), have your dad buy you a better bike.

  2. None at all.

10 minutes at the gym will do you loads better.

What I mean is, the bike is much better then you are.

  3. The only thing it would do is make it loud and distorted. there won't be any noticable power change. Look for screws at the end of the bike. un s***w them and you will be able to pull it out.

  4. Unless you have won at Loretta Lynn's before, you will never notice the minimal increase in power (It may even decrease because of lack of back-pressure) if you removed the baffle.  Baffles made on modern motocross bikes rarely inhibit the power of the bike, and are made to decrease the decibel output of your muffler.  Your best bet would be to buy a new exhaust system for your bike.  A trail bike like yours would benefit greatly  with a new exhaust.  Look on Dennis kirk's website for the best in Play Bike exhausts.

  5. don't do it, it'll blow up your bike if you don't do things right, it'll hurt the bike anyways

  6. Well I hate to disagree with everyone. It is true that removing the baffle will not make a big difference in power but it will help some. Honda actually published a technical bulletin explaining what they call the "Power Up Mod" for the CRF150F and CRF230F. It involves removing the baffle, modifying the air box and re-jetting the carb. Go to www.thumpertalk.com and search the CRF150F section for "power up mod" or "power up kit" for more details or just visit your local Honda dealer. They printed it off for me.

  7. it will hurt your bike more than youll get in power output just put an aftermarket exaust.

  8. The crf150f is basically a trail bike not designed to race or do jumps so I really don't think taking the baffle out of it will make much difference to the bike one way or another, but maybe for the worse.  If you want more power save up and get a crf150r
