Would it bother you to have a couple of gravestones in your community or subdivision? ?

We are just about to sign in a brand new community that has a gravesite in a common area. We are concerned with not only living there but also with any resale problems. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  1. Ther are many people in the Asian community that will not consider buying your home in the future......

  2. It may well bother people of Chinese ancestry and perhaps some other ethnic groups.  I'd expect to pay less for the home as it certainly isn't a positive.

Personally, I'd find it interesting rather than bothersome, but not everyone thinks that way.

  3. My only concern would be if there were negative connotations relating to the deceased buried there.  Otherwise it doesn't bother me.  If on the other hand it bothers you then choose another place to call home.

  4. I personally would not care.  My grandparents lived next door to a graveyard and you can't find quiter, more polite neighbors :-)

  5. I would not rate that as a plus, but only a miniscule negative. I don't think it would affect my interest in buying a house in that community. Might be more of an issue if my front porch looked right at the gravestones or something like that.

  6. As a clairvoyant, I wouldn't mind living in the middle of a cemetery.  But thats just me.  Many people are bothered by cemeteries.  At least you know that the area will be peaceful, and, if your house faces a cemetery, you can leave your blinds open at night cuz no one is going to be looking in!
