  1. Er no Elric it doesn't work like that dear!  Actually my light bulb in my fridge isn't working so does that mean I am helping!

  2. New name for you -Ironic Elric.

  3. no it would just waste energy and make global warming even worse. hope that helped. have a great day!bye.

  4. um - no !

  5. Sure and why not crank the ac down to 40.       You were joking right

  6. No, because all the hot air coming from politicians will counter act it

  7. Oh my God, how stupid are you people?

Opening the fridge door would make the surroundings HOTTER as the fridge franticly works to keep the interior cold.

    Fridges produce HEAT!

In order to be cold, the fridge removes the heat from inside and transfers it outside. It also creates extra heat while doing it.

    Sheesh!

  8. Global warming is not really about that, its that we are useing to much energy so the sun rays are being traped in a greenhouse affect. Ice is melting because of this, if we did leave are fridge doors open this would take more enegy makeing global warming worse

  9. No, it would be better to keep the door closed so you can enjoy some "local cooling" when "global warming" gets too bad.

  10. no because fridges are actually part of the cause. The gases let out by them add to the ozone layer and so trap the rays causing more global warming.

  11. Ha Ha......don't think it works like that though Elric !!

  12. no ..it would take more energy from the planet

  13. Although that question is, frankly, absurd, I believe it's good that we have creative people on the planet who come up with things like that.  These are the people who will forge the world of tomorrow.

  14. Wow all the government and world wide resources that have been wasted trying to come up with a solution to global warming and you had the answer all along!

You are a genius and from now on my fridge AND freezer doors will be open between the hours of 12noon and 2pm and I shall rest happy knowing I am doing my bit to cool the planet and helping save our environment!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  15. No.

The cold coming out of the front would be balanced exactly by the heat coming from the back.

  16. Ha ha I have just watched the film Tommorow Never Dies about Global Warming had to have a blanket on me as I was getting cold when New York froze ha ha

Do not use deodrant Elric no spray in the air lol

  17. How about if we just keep dumping out ice trays outside in the yard instead? That way when they melt, it'll help to restore the aquifer too!

  18. LOL! That one cracked me up. What's even funnier were the people who thought you were serious!

  19. the motor that runs the fridge would give off more heat than the cooling effect of the fridge. But since we have had 10 years of global cooling

It might help warm us up a bit

  20. Of course, in fact, scientists have recently found that if you go outside with an electric fan and leave it running 24 hours a day, you are increasing the world's life expectancy by 100 years. Or alternatively, just taking a towel and shaking it out in a fanning motion for an hour can save fossil fuels, making them last for another 10 years each!

Do you bit today! Burn the fossil fuels so that they cannot damage the environment anymore!

  21. . . How smart . .  !

    :P

  22. That would only help if we are having a really hot summer....lol

  23. We open ours every morning for just 1 hour and i'm sure it's helping as the kitchen soon gets cold, then we open the windows to let the cool air out., It's a bit of a chore every morning and sometimes it makes us late for work! but we are adamant we are doing our bit!!

Why the h**l aren't the government insureing everyone does this???

  24. No. More energy, and therefore more fossil fuels would be required to cool the fridges. Therefore, the effect of global warming would be increased.

If you were thinking about fridges that do not drain energy (hypothetically), then I believe the sudden cooling, would increase peoples need for heat, and fuel consumption would go up still.

  25. Doh!  I ALMOST called you steuwpit too, then noticed this part:

"We could remove the light bulbs"

    so YEAH! duh!

    geeeeze
