right now, so let's say you spend $50 U.S. and buy yourself 500 billion Zimbabwe'an dollars and just sit on it. Would the currency eventually recover enough so that you'd make a handsome profit by selling the currency later?

  1. It is so high because of the outrageous inflation they have. In a week the 10 billion Z dollars could be worth 50 cents US

  2. Most of those notes are made for short term ie. they go out of date in december.

  3. Haven't you bought them yet?

  4. I just read that the current annual inflation rate on their money was ...FIFTEEN MILLION PERCENT!

    It is basically worthless.

I will leave it up to you to figure how much money you would lose per week at that rate.

  5. If you do get them and lets say it does improve, where are you going to cash them in at ?

  6. No.

You will spend more money shipping it back to you than it will be worth in a year.

(If the currency is stabilized in the future, it will have to be "replaced" by some currency that is "reinforced" by the stability of government.  This currency is telling you that the people have lost all faith in their government and the money has no value, at all)
