Would it work here in America?

Its a DVD from Germany and I was thinking of buying it from Ebay...

but my friend told me

that DVDS from europe don't always work

in the US.

So would it work?

Depends on your player.  Dvds are encrypted by region.  the USA is region 1, I think there are like 9 total.  Most players are not able to play other regions, however, most dvd software for computers is.  so it depends on what you have.  I bought a dvd on ebay from china and it did not work on the dvd player i had at the time.  skip ahead two players and now it works.
