  1. I am prescribed pain killers from recent back surgery. The pain meds do help alot, but I do get plenty of sleep.   My doctor also prescribes me ambiom to help me fall asleep.  When a person sleeps that is when most of the healing is taking place, because the body is at rest, and healing cells can work better.

  2. Fatigue makes you more susceptible to pain stimuli.  Painkillers will not be as effective if you are tired.
