  1. no. if anything it would be more expensive since the dollar is so weak right now. if the dollar and the euro where both equal to each other for example one euro=one dollar it would maybe be a little cheaper but since 1.30$=1euro it you'd almost be paying double for whatever you bought

Not necessarily.  I am from the US and Hermes neckties made in France were actually cheaper in the US-- go figure.  OTOH, both France and Canada have high clothing prices (vs. the US) so you may be able to save a litte money.  Just look at the prices in your local stores and compare em to the prices you see in France.  Remember, depending on the store in France, you MIGHT be able to get a refund on the VAT (TVA in France) but you have to go through all of the steps-- buying the minimum amount (some stores won't refund VAT on small purchases), getting the paperwork from the store, getting the papers stamped at the airport and mailing the completed paperwork back to the store (many stores will give you an addressed envelope). Who knows, maybe you can get the clothes cheaper in the US.
