Would like to conect my lap top to TV i used the S-video cable and the sound cable what is next?

i also changed the tv chanel to the video ..but still all am getting is onle the soud transfer freom my laptop and no picture please some one tell me the detail of this conection thanks

Might be two things -

Does your tv has S-video input? Many Tvs do not and in that case, the video will not play, you need adapter/convertor (buy in Radioshack)

Second, you might need to switch the laptop video output. It is usually one of the F keys pressed together with Fn key (it is Fn-F4 on my HP laptop, but might be different on yours. Should have a little tv icon abof the F key)

my laptop requires the S connector to be manually toggled on as the default on bootup is off. Try the F7 button.
