Would like to know about a flower in the amazon that is use as medicine.?

Once a year it flower very high in the trees of the amazon and is use for medicine but because of the cutting of the trees, this flower is hard to find

Is any medicine from the amazon good for kidney?

I'm not very sure to be honest but some orchids grow high up, attached to the tree by it's roots but I'm not aware of any orchids having medicinal properties, apart from perhaps Oncidium Ceboletta (not 100% on spelling!)

Flowers high in the trees are called epiphytic plants. Here some of them living in Amazon rain forest.

When you click on the pic you find medicinal use and more info, but there is none helping in kidney disease.
