  1. Food? ... You can always do a big cookie on a pizza pan and decorate it for her - or make some homemade Kahlua for her and put it into a pretty bottle...........Make a big candle (supplies at a craft store);  make a scrapbook for her;   get a denim shirt and add your own embellishments to it

  2. You can make her a scrapbook, either a large one or mini one, there are 4x4, 6x6, and even 8x8 sizes.

You can get one of those collage frames, the ones that are large and have many openings, some are the same sizes and some have different sizes. You can get one and put pictures of you and her through your years of friendship.  Pictures of just you and her, or you and her and your friends, but leave 2 spaces blank, one to write Happy Birthday and the date, and the other to take a picture with her on her actual Birthday or when you give her the gift, and put the picture in there when it's printed out and have the most up to date picture there.  It will hold many pictures of the two of you through the years.  It's like a scrapbook for her wall that she can hang up and look at whenever she wants!

You can get one of those frames that you make and decorate at the crafts store.  They're white and you paint and decorate them, you can decorate it and put a picture of you and her in there.  Decorate it in a friendship theme.

You can make her a basket of her favorite things.  From snacks and candy, to whatever else is her favorite and make a either a beach pail or basket or whatever and fill it with her favorites, gift cards to her favorite ice cream place, mugs and gift cards to her favorite coffee shop, etc.

You can cook her, her favorite meal and dessert and have a dinner party with all her friends, ask everyone to come over to celebrate her birthday and make her favorite dinner and dessert.

I hope some of these ideas help and that your friend has a very Happy Birthday!!

  3. I like the scrapbooking suggestion...and the photo frame.  I like combining them...select some great pictures and get a digital photo frame.. or better yet, put together a photo DVD movie. You can EASILY do this yourself, or jsut get the pictures together and ahve it done.. There are many sites out there, but the one with the best prices that I 've found is http://www.ForMemoriesSake.com

  4. first give her a homemade card. then [if you know how to knit] knit her a small quilt that says your ''22!'' then attach 40 dollars to the card.I hope shell like it!

Again im only 11....so it might not work....

  5. Buy a clear glass vase and glass paints and decorate!  Don't forget to add a bunch of flowers...

  6. A really good idea is to give her a photo blanket, it's not completely homemade, but it you go to a company like VisionBedding, you can completely design it yourself using up to 16 photos or you can create your own collage (if you are familiar with corel draw or photoshop.  They'll let you add text, cool borders, and pick from a bunch of different colors.  They are really soft blankets and machine washable and won't fade, so it would definitely be something she could use, take with her wherever she goes and always remember you by.  Photos are a great sentimental gift and memories last forever :-)

  7. Decorate a picture frame.  Walmart and other stores have wood or metal frames that you can embelish.  Since every cellphone had a camera these days, I am sure your friend will have a hard time deciding what to put into your fabulous creation.

  8. You can make her a cookie bouquet and cut the cookies out in the shape of the letters for her name and add flower shaped cookies as well. For the vase/mug/flower pot that the cookies go in, you can personalize it. She can eat the cookies, the gift will be pretty and she will still have something to keep after. (the vase, flower pot, whatever you decide to use)
