  1. Galway is NOT cheaper than any other city in Ireland, I think it's slightly less expensive than Dublin, but that's it. It's extremely popular, and by the way, it's NOT a town, it's a city.

You want a dream home, very nice, but you must bear in mind that while the sun shines, it's lovely, but the sun doesn't shine for long, it's very windy in the west, and very wet in the winter. Sea views are all very well, but if you don't have good shelter, you'll be drenched all the time.

It's easy enough to get a job, but you need to do some research in advance. Right now things are tight in Ireland, so getting a job you can live on might not be easy. I recommend staying on and getting a college degree, as you will be up against some seriously well-educated competition, just not from Irish, but from other parts of the world as well. Many nationalities now live and work here.

Having lived abroad myself, and having been to the US, I don't think you realise just how culturally different Ireland is from the US - we are European, after all. Rather then upping and moving, I suggest instead coming over first on some kind of study exchange, or coming over to work for a year, and seeing how you like it. It might be very different in reality to your imagined version of it.

  2. Ok i live in ireland so i know what i am talking about, but moving to galway would be a big mistake.

the weather is normally raining ALL the time down there. and it is all country-side (there are no houses in the towns) which means you would have to travel 10 mile everyday to get to the nearest town.

I would suggest moving to Co.Donegal.

    It is ALOT cheaper.

There is a main hospatil in the main town Letterkenny. It is also the biggest town. and you can buy/rent houses very cheap.

There is also beautiful views from donegal, as it is at the tip of ireland.

Donegal is VERY easy to find jobs, and i know for a fact there are alot of americans living there.

The weather in the north is always much better than the south of ireland. It can be very warm in the summer...like....31 degrees, and in the winter very cold as in -2 degrees.

Donegal would be the cheapest county in ireland. It is actually very cheap.

It is SOOOOOO pretty. i cant even explain how pretty it is, you would have to go and see for yourself.

    Languages: Well EVERYONE speaks english.

Ireland has its own language too, called Gaelige, and everybody that goes to school will have no choice but to learn it, but nobody speaks it (apart from irish classes in school!)

Well The Donegal accent is not like the dublin accent.

The donegal accent is very like the northern ireland accent. It is alot richer than the main irish accent. and sounds a tiny but american on some words.

If you were flying from the states to ireland, the main airport you would HAVE to fly to would be Dublin International Airport.

Dublin is about 4 hours away from Donegal, so you can either get a bus from outside dublin airport.

if you were i would suggest getting the bus going to "Letterkenny"

and it does take 4 hours.

But if you wanted to fly from Dublin To Donegal which only take 30min that would be ok too.

But DO NOT fly to Donegal airport, because it is too far away from letterkenny.

I would suggest you fly from Dublin to Derry.

    Book on

    www.AerArann.com

Derry is in the north and is only 20 minutes from donegal, so you could drive.

During the war between Ireland and the U.K, the u.k ruled ireland, but ireland wanted their own government and to be free.

The U.K then took of 6 of ireland Countys. These countys are called: Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Derry and Tyrone. We call these counties "The Northern Ireland Counties"

These counties are part of ireland, but are ruled by the british government.

The rest of ireland has its own government now, and we are ruled by them.

Although all that war between ireland and the uk in the past, it is all over now. We all get on great.

    Hope this helped

  3. Your ideal place is County Kildare.

It has everything you want and a small but growing town with a large shopping centre. It's only an hour away from the capital (Dublin)

Houses are fairly cheaper. It's almost like the countryside meets the city. Its perfect!

Jobs are easy to get. If you have skills, then its easier. The weather is awful. It changes constantly. It is an island after all. Its beautiful here.
