  1. easy just use a pool stick and hit the white ball and start hitting all the other balls.

  2. easy-practice your shots, mainly work on your english, but make sure your cue stick is strait, (unless there's 1 player games out there I haven't heard of-or make up your own games)

  3. Just be careful to not spend the majority of your time playing actual games.  It's fun to play both sides of a game of 8-ball, 9-ball, straight pool, etc., but when you do that, you only practice skills as they come up in a game.  You need to figure out where you lack as a player and perform drills to work on those problem areas.  There's no point in spending a large amount of your practice time working on things that you already do well.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

  4. First get formal instruction -Then practice the drills they recomend DAILY until you have them down then start over .I practice alone every day and I been playing over 50 years

    Hey Im a slow learner ok

  5. A fun way to practice by yourself is to play as both players in some billiard games(8-ball, 9-ball, etc.). To gain some extra skills try playing the game with mental rules. For example;

    -All of your shots must be a combination.

    -Every shot must be banked.(except the break)

    -Shoot at the ball that is the most challenging or the farthest away.( 8-ball)

    -etc.

    The above way is fun but in all you are playing yourself and your own skills are matched. You will have a tendency to not make it hard for the next shot as it is you who is making it.

    -It is good idea once in a while to just set up shots that you find difficult and play them out until you feel conferable with them. This can get tedious though.

  6. Play a game called baseball....called baseball because you play 9 inning or 9 turns.....you break the full 15 ball rack....any balls pocketed are spotted.....you shoot any ball that you want....1 point per ball.....at some point that you think that you can run the rest of the rack in sequence you do....2 pts per ball now....if you were playing this with someone....you flip the quarter(coin) on the side to mean that you are now shooting in sequence...the most points possible would be 30 if you ran all 15 in order......you are shooting easy shots to "tune" the game and then the ones in sequence to "fine" tune your game.....but all this is no good without some instruction as well....how do you know that you are doing it right in the first place.....get some books....get some videos.....get an old pro to just watch your game and critique it....no good to practice by yourself and do all of this drilling if you are doing it wrong....good luck!....have fun and enoy this great game!

  7. The best way to play pool alone isn't to play the actual game.  The best way is to set up drills.  You should be able to find different drills online.  One way is to lineup all 15 balls across the middle of the table (side pocket to side pocket).  Work on your English by lining up each shot staight in.  Once the ball is made, re-line the cue ball.  Don't stop until you've made each ball in the pocket consecutively.  It sound easy, but it's not.  Try stopping the ball the first time, then following it the next time, the drawing the ball.
