Question:

Would love some more opinions! Please!?

I've already asked this before but would love to get more opinions on it. We just found out we are having a boy and we both love the name Liam. My husband is part Irish and loves Irish names. My husband's name is also William and we thought it would be a neat way to sort of name the baby after him without actually using William (my husband is a Jr so that would make our son William III and we wanted to avoid that). Aside from that I think it's a really cute name. We have gotten mixed reviews from people so far. What do you think about the name?

  1. I love Liam.  My husband is a Jr also, and we are using his name as the middle name.  But I really like Liam.

  2. I love the name Liam. Especially since it will fit in with his heritage. :-)

  3. If you love it than it doesn't matter what other people think!

  4. It's one of the names we had picked in case we had a boy (but we're having a girl) so obviously, I think it's a cute name :)

  5. What's wrong with William the 3rd, nicknamed Liam?  Don't deprive him of naming his kid the 4th.

By the way, why aren't women called the 2nd, 3rd or 4th????

  6. i think it's unique! my friend would have named her son that had she not given him up for adoption. she's really into her irish heritage, and has since had a daughter she named saige.

  7. I love the name Liam.  I really like William III and just call him Liam.  I think it is great to continue on a tradition in a family with names.  To me it is more meaningful.

  8. I dont like it, but as long as you like who cares, just make sure that you are really set with the name b/c you'll be calling him that the rest of his and your life.

  9. I think naming your son Liam is a great idea & way of naming him after his Father without having to call him William III.

*** This name is a short form of the Irish name Uilliam (William) which is now use independently as a given name. As a Hebrew name, Liam means "my people; I have a nation".

  10. It's different. Has a good sound to it. I like it. In the baby name survey book Liam is described as smart, strong, and athletic.

For me deciding on a name was harder than giving birth( we finally decided on a name three weeks before she was born).

        Congratulation for your boy.

  11. Honestly, I never really liked it. But what really matters is if you like it.
