  1. I would think the radio field measure would be most useful in determining whether the field is influencing the feeling of people in the area.  Assuming of course that radio fields have been shown to influence how a person feels.

  2. As Electro Magnetic Fields are in a state of Flux, it  would not be practical to utilize a Standing Wave Ratio meter.  It is usually tuned to a Different Meter Band than the Fields  that we encounter, and could not be practical.

By your Question, you have indicated an Interest into researching the Paranormal.  Good Luck in your Venture, and ask a question if you don't have the answer.

  3. I may be wrong, but I bet if you use one and claim success, then all the paranormal investigators will start using one. Just a guess.

  4. No, that's goofy. No one has ever demonstrated that ghosts  generate electric fields. This is junk for TV shows.

Ghosts can only be "measured" via interaction with your mind. Your mind is the only route to the paranormal. Not AM radios tuned between stations, not infrared cameras, not voltmeters.......

  5. Yes. I am a ham radio operator and have some ham gear I use on hunts.  I have an amplified field strength meter and frequency meter I use to check for radio waves.  The theory is  electromagnetic fields can cause ghosts to appear or can cause people to hallucinate ghosts.  Before we do any investigations, I go in with a bunch of monitoring stuff and get a good base line of where there are any  anomalous readings. Some things will give off high EMF readings, like refrigerators, ungrounded fuse panels, WiFi and computer gear.  Also I have found that radio stations can effect  things miles away by reflecting off of buildings and recombining in one area.  You can find these spots with Doppler radio direction finding equipment, that should only pick up the right direction to a transmitter.  I have seen them thrown off by multi path signals. You really need a high end meter to get any readings.

  6. I don't think you could not use a swr meter it measures  radio waves   their would be too much interference with all the  cell towers or other power boosted equipment  EMF meters are the best to use  for  energy flux

  7. Many Investigators say that EVPs can be captured on different radio frequencies because of the type of diode. But as far as a standing wave meter goes, I don't think it would be beneficial considering what it is used for. The person below has apparently has never read any of the theories and evidence that has been collected by researchers all over the world. You can't convince me that thousands of researchers are wrong.
