Anyone know if hotels would allow a mix of 18 and 17 year olds to stay there unaccompanied? (4 maximum)

  1. Most don't say anything when handed a credit card with ID at 18 as long as the info like Name matches. To be on the safe side the 17 year old can get a paper from Guardian or parent that states they have permission to be staying at the hotel(s) and have it notarized. I have found that most states on the east coast aside from alcohol consumption and gambling allow 18 year old to act as adults after all if you commit a crime you will be charged as an adult.

  2. You do need to check with the individual hotels.  Some require age 21 to check-in and others only require age 18.

Most hotels in the USA that require age 21 do so becasue there are mini-bars containing alcohol in the rooms.

    Good luck!

  3. No. Most require all occupants to be 21 or over - unless you have legal guardians/parents hosting children under their protection. Sorry.
