  1. why spend money on a laptop when you can get it for free? just go to this site and complete a few quick tasks and they'll send you a sony vaio laptop at no charge!

  2. The rest of your system looks like it can handle it. First of all if your video card cannot run something it will not become damaged, the computer would either crash because of the strain, or you would just lag really bad. If you do plan on playing COD 4 or any higher end games I would buy a decent brand of video card. I recommend Nvidia, it makes some of the best video cards on the market and they are always in top shape.

The specs on COD 4 are as follows:

    Graphics Hardware :

Minimum: Nvidia GeForce 6600 or ATI Radeon 9800 Pro

Recommended: Nvidia GeForce 7800 or ATI Radeon X1800:[20

Comparing your card with those its seems like your card may be better then the minimum because the 6600 is 256mb but not as good as the recommended because the 7800 is 512mb. But always take into account brand name. Your card may not even be as good as the minimum because of your brand, but MB-wise it is better.

You should be able to play the game on atleast all low settings. I could play it on all high with an Nvidia 7600.

  3. it should be fine, just make sure your video card is properly cooled. as long as you have a good fan keeping it safe, you may lag a little though

  4. check system requirements lab, it checks the hardware on your system and compares it with the minimum specs required to run the game
