Question:

Would non-Junior Nation members call these remarks arrogant and immature, if they came from another driver?

"Let em write what they want to, we won one" Isn't that kind of arrogant as someone else said? And this is NOT a hate question, I'm just curious if the same standard would be applied if Gordon, Smoke, Rowdy or any driver other than Junior made a statement like that?

  1. well I have heard drivers say alot worse..Jr gets alot more c**p and is under alot more pressure than the other driver because of who is dad was.

  2. you should've heard some of the things I used to say when I was racing. It would make these guys sound like choir boys. You got to let them be men, or your going to have a bunch of sissys in the sport.

  3. Well there has been so much pressure on Jr to get a win, even he said "I think it bothers other people more than me".  I think critics may say he won this by chance or luck and my opinion is how many times has another high profile driver won a race by strategy.  That's exactly how he won the race.  Strategy.  So I agree.  Let them say what they want, they won a race fair and square.

And d**n right, I'm an 88 fan all the way!

  4. People have been giving Dale Jr trouble all season for not winning a points race, and now they'll probably give him trouble about when he'll win the next one.  I like his attitude of letting the media write what they want to about it.  He's happy he won, and his true fans are happy he won...can't anyone just let him enjoy it?

  5. I think all he's trying to say is that he knows that people are going to question his win as being fair but he's not gonna let it bother him. Nothin wrong with that in my opinion.

  6. No, because most Non-Junior Nation fans do not look for anything to criticize other drivers over for saying something "wrong." I say let the drivers speak...and the ones that bash Kyle Busch for everything he says should stop worrying about it, because every driver should be entitled to freedom of speech. You can't expect everyone to be able to conceal their emotions after a race, not if they are a true competitor.

  7. How is it arrogant?? He knows exactly how all the haters feel about him and he is simply stating the truth that they can write what the want it doesn't matter because he won the race your favorite little shrub has won in much more controversial fashion and sounded much more arrogant than that so what pray tell is the problem?

  8. agreed bestan..but 98% of what Kyle Busch says is either bull or sounds as if it is coming from a 13 year old girl..."DUH"....

  9. I like carl edwards and jr is a little lower on my list of favorites but honesly i dont know whats so bad about

  10. It's not arrogant it's just not modest. Brian Vickers got robbed.

  11. Not a Jr. fan but the guy won a race fair and square and has bragging rights.

  12. No. I don't see any arrogance whatsoever.

  13. As Jr. would say "IT IS WHAT IT IS"

  14. I don't. People are going to try and bring him down. he doesn't care, he won and he is happy. No critics can ruin this for Jr.

    CONGRATS JR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. you know what I've heard alot worse from other drivers fans and I have gave credit to them when they won wether I liked the driver or not so why when our driver wins do we get all the c**p for it can't we enjoy it alittle? as we all know he went a long time with out a win and it got rubbed in our faces so aren't we allowed to celebrate his win?

  16. not really. he's just a realist. he knows many people will try to discount his win for whatever reason - and judging by the questions and answers on this board, i guess he was right.

  17. ??? Maybe you just took this wrong. I think what Jr meant by this is the fact that he KNEW that his win would be torn apart in the media and by non-fans because of the fact that it was a fuel-mileage win AND he won under caution, which is kind of a double-whammy. I would have to say the same thing - a win is a win. How many other drivers have won due to a fuel gamble or a timely caution? It happened for Kyle Busch just a few weeks ago, he won under caution once this year. People are going to complain no matter what. You're just going to hear more about it though because it was Jr this week.

  18. I think everything Jr. says or does gets picked apart, I've heard worse from other drivers.

  19. He is different and has more courage than other drivers so no I wouldn't I don't even see how they were immature

  20. I don't..people are still going to rip him...Who cares Dale Jr won, can we just quit the bashing I'm sure If Rowdy, Smoke or Jeff Gordon or jeff Burton would have said that we would not have this question.... I give up..and what are we going to do on here if Dale Jr wins the Championship...OMG i'll have to vanish for 6 months.. Dale Jr won the race today..bottom line....get over it..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
