Would our lives in the Philippines be different if we had land borders with other countries?

Most definitely.  If we are landlocked, we would probably be not as popular as a tourist destination inasmuch as we would have lost half of our beaches.  With less tourist dollars, there goes another good source of revenue for our dwindling economy.

Absolutely.  You would have border patrols, immigrants, more drugs, more problems, and your gene pool would expand expotentially

Smuggling would be easier (goods and people). We might not need Coast Guards and Navy. But sure need boder guards. It may be easier for the neighbors to invade us.

No Boracay and El Nido!!!

There will be no Spratly issue to deal with. Sinking ships may not be a problem.

probably, because you would have more products from other countries and be influenced by them as well, like canada with the u.s.

Yep. Then no more rasicm. Other countries think if we go visit to their countries they thought we are planning to look for a job in a toursit visit visa. haler???

partly yes, partly no.

some of the perks would be:

1. easier to tour other countries (yippee!), we could do it by just a train-ride.

2. easier trade with other countries

3. Philippines would be mixed races

4. better economy

but then, the problem doesn't solely lie on the geographical location and area of our country but on the system that rules it. if we are more independent, enjoying our democracy and freedom without the imperialist domination then relatively our lives would be better.

i think its better not to think of what would not happen.

lets think of how we can throw our corrupt politicians to the sea (sharks!)
