Would painting all the roofs of buildings in a city white help keep that city cooler and be especially helpful

in preventing blackouts because the power requirements go up with with the tempature on especially hot days and white reflects the most heat out of any color? Could this be done as a cheap way to lower peek power requirements during heat waves and the like?

Theoretically you are absolutely right in the sense that light and heat would be reflected out, beside white paint is very cheap because of the abundance of Titanium Dioxide in the earth, but have you thought how much area must be covered with white paint to achieve at least a significant 1 degree lower?, well is so much that becomes impossible to get it.

    Continue thinking, we need a solution very soon to overcome the global overheating.
