Question:

Would people think something if they weren't women?

My boyfriend has been hinting he is going to propose. We were lying around together talking about what we would do for our wedding.

Well, as we're talking about it, I realized I would have no clue who would be my maid of Honor, or brides maids. All my girlfriends and I have fallen out. We've just become completely different people.

I find I get along better with males. Girls and I don't click anymore. So if I were to have a male 'maid of honor', do you think people would think weirdly of it?

  1. Re: lots of bridesmaids.  Not absolutely required.  All you really need legally at the wedding ceremony are two witnesses to sign the marriage certificate, and those two witnesses can be anyone you choose. Some people have had parents or adult children be witnesses at their weddings.  All depends on what the bride and groom want to do.

Yes, you can have a man as a MOH. I know of a woman in my town who had her brother as a "man-maid of honor" because they were so close...her story actually made the local papers! I thought it was very sweet.
