Would phantom limbs be a good topic for a psychology paper?

i have selected phantom limbs and phantom pain as my subject for a research paper.

It is an area which has had a really interesting new treatment developed.  It involves mirrors which create an illusion of both limbs being intact.  This somehow fakes out the brain into believing that the missing limb is, in fact, there and can often provide enormous relief.  Here is a good starting point if you want to pursue that subject: http://content.nejm.org/cgi/content/full...
