I have a Calathea Makoyana, and I want to pick some of the old leaves, because they a bit damaged. The new leaves are coming in really nice. If I cut some of these old leaves from the stems, would it help new growth?

Thanks

  1. yes  it would, the leaves need to come off in order for new leaves to grow. think before cutting whole branches or stems off, though because that may take a few months to regrow, but  it may be bigger ha before.
