Would plants die if they were supplied with energy drinks instead of water?

LOL.  It's funny, b/c I just watched a goofy movie with this exact subject the other day - it's called "Idiocracy" on HBO starring Luke Wilson.  It was set 500 years from now, all of the inhabitants of the world were really dumb (literally), and all the crops had died b/c the people of the world were giving them energy drinks to live.  Not three reasons, but I just felt like telling you about the movie!  :)  BTW, I just found this about energy drinks and plants (I looked it up under Gatorade).

yes they would...they need WATER for photosynthesis. remember biology??

dunno about the caffene, but i have watered seedlings with pop in emergencies before and they survived.

there is water in energy drinks. most other compounds in energy drinks are from plants and will return as nutrients. I tried it and it seemed to have worked.

Sounds like an interesting experiment for the science fair.  Why dont you follow through using the scientific method.
