Would polycystic ovaries Interupt the result on a pregnancy test?

I was diagnosed with pcos on tuesday last week and just out of the blue decided to do a pregnancy test yesterday, too my suprise it came up positive and i have done another 2 which have also been positive!

I was told by a friend the pocs can affect the result on the test and just wondered if this could be possible?

  1. Hey there, i believe congratulations are in order!!

    The only thing that i know of that can affect a pregnancy tests results are the presence of the HCG hormone, only present if your pregnant!

    What a lovely thing to find out when you've just been told you have PCOS! i wish you all the best in the world!

    Take your tests to the Dr's and have them confirm things. congratulations again:D


  2. I wouldn't think so.  Pregnancy tests pick up the level of HCG, which is a hormone only made during pregnancy.  So as far as I can tell, congrats are in order.
