Would public transportation such as buses, subways, etc. be considered a public good?

Is public transportation such as buses, subways, etc. be considered a public good even though you usually have to pay a small fee in order to use them??

Yes, of course it has to cost money. these forms of transportation require gas!

Yes, HOWEVER..........most Americans really live in rural America where they do not have these modes of transportation.  I am referring to the Democrats antics or conservation and insisting that Citizens use these transportation modes.  How naive to think every American has these types of transportation at their disposal.  Now that is REALLY BEING OUT OF TOUCH WITH RURAL AMERICANS.
