Abortion is not a contraceptive, it has no bearing on a woman saying 'yes' or 'no' to s*x.

If abortion were completely outlawed you would have increased numbers in babies for adoption, and the number of babies born disabled may increase, but I fail to see what rape has to do with anything.

I do not believe there is any connect between rape and abortion.  But I do believe that in America, rape levels would rise if there were no prostitution and women withheld s*x.

But just where do you think that would put women?  Women already claim that all the good men are taken OR g*y.  Once men get used to not having s*x with women, we'd move on the other things, like other men, robots, dolls, cyber-s*x, and a host of things I imagine that have not hit the market yet.

And in turn, you ladies will begin complaining again about our "selfishness", our "fear of strong women", or "obsession with s*x".  You'll then come up with another lame-*** excuse for men not chasing you.

If women started refusing s*x most of THEM would be able to EVADE CHANCES OF GETTING RAPED (cases of date rape, rape while walking alone in a deserted street etc)

i don't know about rape but like zen said, there sure would be a lot more kids in foster care(isn't the system full enough already?) that no one wants.

I think a lot of folks here are failing to see that this is a question about forced abstention and its consequences, for fear of being obliged to carry through pregnacies.

I honestly don't know, but if women were forced to abstain it would break down sooner or later and the situation would be back to square one.

I've now decided to stop listening to the concerns of 'pro-life' quacks, none of it based on reason, it's just looking for evidence to back up an ideological (theological morality) position.

No people would just use contraception. You say most fail.... thats not true. They have some fail rate but nothing huge (if used properly)  Besides, women could go on 2 types of contraception, condoms and pills or condoms and implant or coil or whatever.

I dont think so. I dont think that women would refuse to have s*x from fear of getting pregnant now days. I think that women had abortions in the past when it was socially unacceptable to have a baby out of wedlock etc but nowdays if abortion were outlawed people would just keep going as they are but just have more unplanned babies and live on welfare cos they can.

Was the rape level higher before abortion was so easy? No. There are always going to be bad men out there no matter if abortion is legal or not. It's up to you to find a good man who won't rape you if you refuse to have s*x. That's the deciding factor.
