Would size 14 pants on a size 10 look much larger?

i am trying to lose weight and i am just planning on buying new pants for every 4 sizes i lose since i don't have much money. would a size 14 on a size 10 frame look much larger or would it look acceptable?

You might be able to pull it off but thats a close call.  They will probably be falling off a lot.

i wear a size five and  an 8 is really big on me.

they will be baggy and loose around the waste.

i recomend a belt.

People generally do not look well in sizes that are too large or too small. Wearing baggy clothing will make you look dumpy and clothing that are too small emphasize "weak spots". If you are worried about your budget, I'd suggest buying from the thrift store until you are satisfied with the size you are at. Wearing clothing that do not fit is uncomfortable and unattractive.

I've been both sizes and they will fit you really big. You might have to go to a cheap department store to find "in between" sizes until you are down to your goal weight. I know exactly what you mean though. I don't want to buy a size 10 jeans if my goal is a size 6. Just get a couple of pairs because it really helps you mentally/emotionally if you feel good about your appearance and will help in the long run.

It doesn't really matter what other people think, as long as you feel comfortable in them and you think they look fine.

Personally i would assume they would look a tad baggy
