Would society crumble?

I once heard a scientist on cable doing gender studies say that If all women on earth developed a mans attitude about s*x (almost always ready for it, willing and able to without any commitment or emotion attached).

Or if all men on earth suddenly developed a womans attitude toward s*x, (having a s*x drive thats linked to emotions, not taking the initiative)

They say if this happens society will crumble.

No one would commit, less families would form and unattractive people would be ignored til they're forced out of the gene pool...

Does anyone agree with that? what do you think would happen if either of those two things happened?

The foundation of civilization is based on the family.  If everyone had a 'no commitment' attitude, then there would be nothing to seperate humans from the other animals on the planet.

first of all, society would not crumble. It would change drastically, yes, but not crumble. There would just be more people for society to govern is all.

Second, as to ugly people being bred out of the gene pool... Have you ever seen a really horny guy who wouldn't have s*x with a really ugly woman just because he need s*x??? If women were like men, I would suggest the opposite, there would be so many people who just needed s*x that ugly people would get it far more often.

Now if men were like women (ie emotionally driven to s*x) the population would plummet in 1 generation. Why? Not because women never want s*x (on the contrary woman want it as often as we do, they are just more selective) but the reason would be is that we, as men, are emotional cripples. We have no clue to most emotions outside of anger and frustration and joy. So two out of three emotions we do well are not conducive to a sexual state of mind.

the more aggressive breeders would pass on more of their genes to offspring,so more aggressive breeders would be born ,so eventually the world we have now.............tom
